NEXT TALK – 7:30pm Thursday 1 October 2026
A Journey Just Beginning. With Natalie and her young son.
A routine newborn hearing test revealed that Natalie’s baby was deaf in one ear. Her determination helped him to thrive as a toddler, but when he started school, new challenges emerged.

Natalie responded by introducing family signing lessons for her local community. Today, she also supports parents as a Community Connector for the National Deaf Children’s Society.
Join us to hear Natalie’s remarkable story—and discover why her journey may only just be beginning.
Whether you live with hearing loss, support someone who does, or simply believe in the power of a young mum to change lives, this is a talk not to be missed.
We look forward to welcoming you.

What people are saying about HTRO
Lovely environment, great presentation, great questions, appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and open nature of everyone in attendance.
The meeting was easy to access and I found the captions very helpful.
The whole meeting was full of insights and information that will prove invaluable as we work together to improve the experiences of those with differing degrees of hearing loss. Trish was a truly excellent first speaker and there is a wonderful programme of future speakers. Well done and thank you so much !!
Very enjoyable. Trish was inspiring and good that you have hearing pros involved. Looking forward to the next time.
